I fell in love with computer programming as a student in Pacific Palisades High School in California, at the same time as I took classes at SDC, System Development Corporation, in Santa Monica California, the first US government software development contractor! Software development has become a big part of my life since a very young age in high school. I got a Physics degree at UCLA at the same time as I fell in love and worked in biotechnology, and basic and clinical medical research, as a team member at multiple groups at the UCLA medical center and later at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) in La Jolla California.
You might think California is a fun R&D heaven and a happening place but when I moved all my operations to the greater Chicago area and started my own business, my R&D life and business got a lot more exciting…
